Highlights from some of the shows of 2002
The 9th Annual Prevous (Air Rendezvous) Party had thunderstorms in the forecast all day. But the rain passed us by, and around 2000 people showed up for one of the most successful Prevous parties they have had in several years. Former bass player Kenny Duffy showed up and sang a bunch of songs, also. The crowd enjoyed the band all the way to the last song. Special thanks to Julie Clark for booking us and all the work she did, and to Kim Curry for the plugs on the radio stations.

Prevous Party
Springfield
The first thunderstorm hit at 6:45, and the second at 8:15. The gig would have been a wash if it wasn't for the staff there. But we started at 8:40, and rawked them all night. In typical Farmersville Irish Days beer tent fashion, the place was filled all night, and EVERYBODY danced. Check out the pic taken from the stage. Special thanks to Eric Webb, for the constant support (and constant flow of beer!), and thanks to Heather for rapping Can I Getta, we owed her that one. (She filled in for us one show a few years back when we had to do a show without a lead singer, and we promised her that she could come rap it again sometime. She did great!) PICS

Former bass player Kenny Duffy filled in for Chris Baldwin on a Wednesday night gig. He did a great job, considering he had never played over 10 of the songs we have now. THANKS Kenny! We have never played at the Alamo, it was cool. The place packed out and we had a great gig. The dancers (Laura and TJ) also made an appearance, and that was very well received. Thanks dancers!

Yet again, rain was supposed to happen...and it didn't. The show was massive (check out the pics), it always ranks up there as one of our favs. One highlight was when the dancers, TJ and Laura, joined Janet for a new routine on a Pink song. The three of them did an incredible job (matching outfits and all) and brought down the house. Kenny Duffy, now of the Groove Daddies joined us for a few songs also. Thanks to the Chatham Jaycees for having us back. PICS

The Alamo,
Springfield
A huge and enthusiastic crowd at The Alamo was there to see us that stayed all night until the last song. Special thanks to Scott, Carrie, and Ben for sitting in on their respective songs, a great job by all three of you. Let It Be was played for the victims of 9-11-01.
Marley's 2nd Anniversary happened this night, and the place was jammed packed from 8 to 1, with a line at the door to get in nearly all night. It was total mayhem...we threw out t-shirts and beads from the stage...and saw some interesting things from people who wanted beads!! Despite the size of the place, it was difficult to "go" anywhere in the room (due to the size of the crowd), so people just bounced and danced where they were at! Special thanks to Jeanie and Julie Kittlestad for singing 5 songs to start the night.

Marley's Pub,
Springfield
The last outdoor (*sniff*) show of the season was a huge success. The promoters were concerned that the cold weather (it dropped into the '30's) would keep people away...it didn't. The hangar was just like always, packed with people. Post War Fords opened and sounded great.

Marley's Pub
Springfield
Marley's Pub and F5 had a huge Halloween party, and it was nuts. Tons of people dressed up, as did the band. Zack Pierceall sat in and sang One Week (for the first time with us), and did a fantastic job. Carrie did P-Control and Scott sat in on Rollin also, they did a bang up job as always.
The bar was jam packed, and to add to it, a USAF Guardsman (Chuck Redpath) had a retirement party in the back which added a lot to the crowd later on (THANKS to all of you that stuck around). Thanks to the staff at the Grandstand, they really take of the band members.

Who says there's nothing to do on a Wednesday night? We had a huge crowd at the Alamo, of whom stayed all night until the last song. Check us out in December (the 18th) when we play there again on a Wednesday.

We set an attendance record this night, the most people they ever had in the place since they opened...and the beer garden was closed! Everybody just sort of danced in place all night...

The year ended with a bang, the place was a zoo. It was F5's 6 year anniversary, as well as Stan Komperda's last gig. Robin Bosie-Cunningham, former lead singer of F5 came back for a set of songs we played from '96 to '02, as well as former back-up singer Holly Schultan, they did a terrific job. Janet and Robin did a duet on a new song, Beautiful. Zack and Scott sat in and sang a few as well, and did good. We also welcomed new drummer Bob Bryant to the drums. We had a great year, thanks to all for coming to all of the shows.
